The Memories of Here by Raul Castelle: a review by Upasona Banerjee

Well, winter is all about festivity and festivity is always incomplete without some good books. So, I got this reference of The Memories of Here by Raul Castelle from a friend who is also a bookworm like me. And the unique thing is it is only available in Kindle, Amazon’s online book portal. It is true that I love books but to be very honest, I am more comfortable with physical books, in their paperbacks and hardcover forms. I resort to Kindle only when I want to read some imported edition. But this was new. So, at a quite low price of Rs. 50 I bought it this weekend.

Now how was it? First I should comment about its brevity. Short, crisp and amazingly engaging it was. Just in the length of five pages the author presented a whole story that has left me baffled. When the story opens I find a regular guy. Heartbroken, he is going back to nature, to a trip to McLeod Gunj, Himachal. The things that the author started narrating were quite predictable at first. It made me feel that I am reading a story that will convey the philosophy of life on a positive note.

But the end was a complete surprise, kind of a jolt for me. Not divulging too much I would say it is the pull of the end that made the whole story unique and amazing. The deceptively simple tone of the story in the beginning turns dark and gloomy and then the jolt, a perfect recipe for a rocking fast read.
The most commendable thing I found in the book is the illustration in the opening page. It is done by another bestselling author Rahul Saini. Personally I love illustrations in a story. But when I opened this book I was a bit confused with the illustration. But once I was done, it made sense. And that helped me to read between the lines of the story.

An absolute recommendation from my end, I'll rate the book 4 out of 5. While you are on the go or just on a break, swipe in Kindle and start reading it. I know you will thank me later. Happy reading!

On the top of the world

After ruling the market with their high speed 3G network, now Airtel is launching 4G in India. Isn’t this great? I am jumping like anything after hearing the news that finally I am going to use 4G. And the best thing about it is they are challenging that is going to be the fastest and if any network can beat their speed they will pay their telephone bills for lifetime. But I know no one can beat them, because they are Airtel.

Asking me to write about what I will do if I get an Airtel 4G is like asking a two week starving boy what he would like to eat. I will do almost everything which I had gave up trying in my current network. Let’s start from the map. I am person who spends time in home when she is tired and I can’t count how many times are there when I need a map to find my way even in Kolkata. But whenever I tried opening one in my current phone, it starts to irritate me with its circles which I hate like anything. After trying for at least fifteen minutes I usually go to a nearby cop and ask the route. But trust me I try every time. If I had an Airtel 4G I will use the map anytime anywhere, to find the route, to find a cafĂ© nearby or even find a restaurant and most importantly I will be able to stay away from the boring faces of the cops.

The next thing I will do if I had a 4G is download movie. I am a movie freak. Yes, freak is the correct word to describe me. I watch movies depending on my moods and believe me I have terrible mood swings. Like, one day I decided to see Dabbangg at night and had downloaded it through all day and at the time of playing the movie I felt like watching Black. Can you imagine, from Dabbangg to Black, isn’t it terrible? This happens to me quite often. And after having Airtel 4G I will download movies anytime I want. Whenever I feel like watching a movie I will download it straight way.

Now a days, not only me I can bet that ninety percent people can’t spend their idle hours without their cell phone. What they do with their mobile phone is browsing. Surfing through websites. Going through different channels, watching videos online. And obviously I can’t do any of those properly with my dumb network connection. I will be able to see episodes of my favorite soaps at hotstar without buffering if I had an Airtel 4G. The certain thought gives me goose bumps. If I had Airtel 4G under my hood I will be on the top of the world.

All yours, Stranger by Novoneel Chakraborty: a review

As I have always written all these years and I will continue writing, the brand name of ‘Novoneel Chakraborty’ is the only reason I reach out to the book. But today, I would like to say that it is more than the name of the author, it is about the protagonist of the book- The Stranger that pulls me towards the book.  All yours, stranger- the second and awaited book of the stranger trilogy is something that had kept me on the edge of my seat.

The cover of the book, after the cover of Book 1, catches a lot more attention. The color combination and the photograph to be specific, fits in perfectly with the flow of the book. Before I divulge much about my feelings for the book, here is a sneak peak of the blurb of the book and before that, I can’t stop myself from saying- SOME MYSTERIES ARE DANGEROUSLY SEXY.

From the back cover of the book- For those of you who don’t know me yet, I’m Rivanah Bannerjee, a Kolkatan trying to find her footing in Mumbai. Even though I’m currently in a relationship with a great guy, I can’t help but miss my ex-boyfriend despite knowing that he cheated on me. But that’s the least of my worries. The stranger has gone missing since the police tried to nab him unsuccessfully. Where is he? What does he want from me? Why did he come into my life in the first place? Will he ever contact me again? These and many more questions continue to torment me every day. I’m desperate for the stranger to come back to me, knowing full well that he may destroy me forever. But then that’s the sexiest thing I have ever known about someone. With every revelation, it seems the truth is far more twisted than Rivanah can imagine. Wickedly plotted, All yours, Stranger- Novoneel Chakraborty’s gripping follow-up to his hugely popular Marry Me, Stranger- will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page.

Yes, I know! I had the same reaction. While reading the blurb and then when I started the book, from the prologue, it kept me on the edge of my seat with my heart beats accelerated throughout. It was one point where I even thought that the author is stalking my life and writing the book on it. Believe it or not, when I had a discussion with my friends and fellow readers regarding the same, they had an exact similar reaction. That’s the beauty of a Novoneel Chakraborty book. Oh wait, that’s the beauty of the stranger!

To talk about the stranger is something that I don’t want to do much. For the people who haven’t read the book, I would suggest them to read Marry me, stranger before starting this book. The stranger is a person with no face, no identity, no voice, no address but all that the stranger has is an intention. The intention is not revealed yet. The stranger is neither a friend nor a foe. The stranger is simply- The stranger. Known for his strong female characters, Novoneel has out-powered himself and brought into life the character of the stranger.

Having said that, I would also like to compliment the writer on the character of Rivanah. She is one character who is very much like you, me and every other girl of the world. Coming to the story, as it was in Marry me, stranger; Rivanah’s life, the people in her life, complications, happiness, sadness and the stranger, all in all makes the story a worth reading one. Not only once, but even twice and even then you’d have the same goose bumps while you are reading. The dialogues given to the characters, especially to the stranger are something that will give the thrill of your life.

Written in a very typical Novoneel Chakraborty flow, the book has more to offer than what it shows. Unlike a few other trilogies’ I’ve read, even if you read just Book 2, you’ll get the plot and understand what had happened in Book 1 but the feel only comes when you have read Book 1. Both the books are an experience to behold for a life time. The mystery deepens as you flip through the pages. For the end of book 2, I would like to say that it was a bit abrupt.

I say abrupt because when the last page ends and you get to see- “To be continued” All you can feel is a sudden pang of emptiness. I, as a reader, read so many books and so many different genres and types of them. But there are very less books which leave me speechless. This book managed to do what the likes of big authors do. Coming to the errors, I would like to say that there are a few printing errors of the book, which are negligible when the book is read in a certain flow that the book offers.
Apart from that, there are no such errors in the book. Since the expectations have raised two-three notches higher, I can only wish the author loads of luck for Book 3 – the final book of the stranger trilogy, hoping that winter 2015 comes soon. For me, the book is 4.75 out of 5. (If only it was an endless book, I would've rated it 5).

There are many dialogues from the book which I want to quote to end this review but the only reaction I have right now is – I’m all yours, stranger!!

A honey diet makes for a healthy living

The mantra of today’s time is something we all should follow and we do follow- Money is honey! Yes, I know it is a much exaggerated version of the real life thing that is going on but this is the truth. Money is surely honey but do you know that it is the same vice versa? Honey is money too. Let me tell you a real life story of mine which will make you understand why I say that honey is money too.

I am a working lady. My work timings are usually 10 AM to 7 PM and after that, I also overtime till 9 PM every day. After I come back home at around 10 PM, trust me, I don’t have any energy left in myself to take care of my body and health. In the morning, I usually wake up at 6 AM and do my household chores and then leave for work by 9 AM. In this way, the 24 hours of my life passes. I am one person who has always been known for being efficient in whatever she does and I am never late. Punctuality, efficiency, effectiveness being my middle names.

My work also includes a lot of statistics and data and thus, I have always been known as the to-go person whenever any kind of data or statistics is involved. There was this one day when I had a meeting to attend but I was so sick due to the late night workings I had done and by not taking care of my body and health that I couldn’t get up from the bed only. I had instructed my assistant to go about the meeting and give my proxy but it was then I realized that the importance of taking care of the health is utmost important.

In the beginning days, when I took the vow that I will take care of myself first and then work, I was very confused on how to go about taking care of myself. I had seen my friends failing numerous crash diets and I didn’t want to be like them. It was then that my mother suggested me an awesome cure about it. Guess what was it? Honey! She told me that honey is the solution to all my problems.

Having my doubts on that, I started having honey on a regular basis. I started with having warm water with honey every day with a dash of lemon in the morning. Then I substituted sugar in my tea with honey. Believe it or not, it actually worked. I started feeling refreshed and could carry on throughout the day without slumping or being tired. Today, I do not miss a single meeting and I do not feel sick also. This is how I got to know that Honey is Money too. I would suggest everyone to follow the Honey diet and lead a healthy life.

For all cricket lovers; redesigned UC Browser!

Cricket is a religion and Sachin is God. I have grown up hearing this, but I have never grown interest in watching eleven guys running for one ball hit by another. I had started watching cricket because of the historical six sixes which changed me. Trust me, I am not writing this just because Yuvraj is there in the video, but he is the one for whom I have started watching cricket. He is cute, isn’t he? I started to learn the way the game is played just to see him playing.

Now, I can’t live without cricket. It is addictive, more than drugs. I can’t think how I had spent earlier days without watching this thrilling game. And Yuvraj is still my favorite player. You know the feeling of the first crush or the first gift or the first ride, then you would surely know how I feel about Yuvraj. I was the happiest when Yuvraj lifted the trophy and he was given the Man of the Series of the World Cup. A player with such calibre can’t be taken out by a mere cancer, I knew he will come back for the very first day when he was dropped. I prayed for him every time when I saw Indian playing without him.

Then came the day when it was official that Yuvraj is making his comeback. But certainly I was out of state. I was devastated with the thought that I would not be able to see him batting in his comeback match. Then I felt the requirement of an application which will keep me up to date about what’s happening in the match. Believe me there is not one such application in the market which has everything I need. Few had scores update but didn't have scoreboards, few had scoreboards but didn't have highlights. Can you imagine I had to almost miss Yuvraj’s comeback match which unfortunately India lost. From that day I was waiting for an application which will fulfil my requirements and I don’t have to install three application for one purpose.

Then came UC Browser. At first I couldn't believe a browser offering such features. But after getting recommendation from a trusted friend I downloaded the browser. First thing first, I loved the look. From the color combination to the font style I loved everything. And the browser is smartly designed. I didn't have to search for anything because almost everything is there right in front of me in that one browser. One touch in theUC Cricket and you are in. Live score updates with auto refresh option. Can you believe it, all this you can do through a browser not an application? I simply loved it and felt that this browser is made for me and all the cricket lovers. So it would be my suggestion to all my readers, download this super browser and enjoy cricket!

Nights in Pink Satin by Anita Shirodkar: a review

Anita Shirodkar and her writings have been in my mind since I had read her debut book- Secrets and second chances. Her style of writing is usually very normal but her way of expression is something that I look forward to always. The cover of the book, as usually is ‘deep’ in its meaning and connected to the storyline. The best part of the girl in the cover of the book is the eyes and the way the picture of the girl has been utilized in the front cover of the book. The title of the book, Nights in Pink Satin only is the cherry on the cake of the whole package of the book.

According to the blurb: What happens when a heartbroken newly-wed girl writes an erotic, sexually-charged story based on a cougar she knows? Simran Dandekar, the pretty daughter of a rich construction magnate from Nagpur, marries Siddharth, the good looking scion of the Mumbai based Raichand family, only to find out that her marriage is nothing more than a financial transaction, her husband is still not over his last heart and that the high society Mumbai which she has married into is a cesspool of extramarital affairs and torrid sexual encounters! Not one to shy away from taking inspiration when and where she finds It, Simran soon writes a spectacular tale of love and lust, even as she struggles hard to find both in her married life. But the things spiral out of control when the anonymously published risquĂ© potboiler becomes an instant best seller. Just as her relationship with her husband begins to bloom, the controversial ‘Nights in Pink Satin’ threatens to bring her down! Will Simran’s literary aspirations bring her rewards, or bring her into disaster zone? Join Simran in Nights in Pink Satin, a warm, colorful story set in Mumbai’s high society with entirely believable characters.

When I started this book, I had huge expectations. If not from the plot, then at least from the authoress. Having read her debut work, I knew that what she knows is just a nutshell of what she is to offer. This book is no less. From the first page to the last she has her readers engrossed in the book. The way the characters have been explained to the way the whole story has been handled, the flair of writing that the authoress has is worth a mention.

If someone asks me what the best part of the book is according to me, then I guess I would mention the fact that the way the story has been put in front of the readers is the biggest plus point of the book. It surely can make anyone feel and relate the storyline and its situations to the authoress herself and that feeling of ‘knowing-ness’ is something that adds up to the feel good factor of the book.

As far as the errors of the book are concerned, I didn’t find much error. Only the fact that this book can be mistook as any other mills and boon story takes this book a little notch lower. Apart from that, there are a few characters of the book that come and go without much do and without any trace and reason. If only the authoress would’ve done a bit more research on that and another round of proofreading would’ve done the trick. All in all, a wonderful one time read, I would give it 4.2 out of 5. And, I must say, this subtle hint of erotica is a must read for ever teenager.

Trouble has a new name by Adite Banerjie: a review

Adite Banerjie has a way with words and that surely reflects on the books she writes and makes the readers wait for her books to hit the stands. Her latest release Trouble has a new name has pretty much everything that is on the cards for every woman. The cover speaks a lot where the protagonists of the book are seen cozying up to each other on a beach towel and under the umbrella in a wonderful beach of the Andaman Islands. When the readers can have enough of the cover, they can slowly turn the book to read the blurb and I am sure it will keep them on their feet.

According to the back cover- Will you pretend to be my fiancĂ© for the next few days? Recently single model Rayna Dutt does not feel like flying to her friend’s big fat Indian wedding. But she does- and when a mix-up with room allocation forced her to share a luxury villa on Emerald Isle with the gorgeous owner of the hotel Neel Arora, best man at the wedding, things begin to look up. Until Rayna’s ex turns up with a new girl on his arm! Hitting the panic button, Rayna searches for a solution. Surely Neel wouldn’t mind being her fake fiancĂ©…? In an instant the attraction they share is at fever-pitch, but when scandal comes calling Rayna soon finds herself in more trouble than she can handle!

As interesting as it sounds, you just can’t get enough of Neel Arora, the handsome hotelier. All the scenes he is in, with or without Rayna, you just feel like swooning over the rich hotelier. You wish that you were there in the place of Rayna. I would call it the great descriptions given by the authoress that attracts most readers to the book and its protagonists. The picturesque view of the Andaman and the interesting characters surely guides you through the whole book.

The story, I wouldn’t want to say much about because it is mostly that of the regular mills and boon with drool worthy protagonists and being a reader, it might seem regular. But, for every mills and boon fan who read the books particularly for the characters of the book and the lovey-dovey atmosphere in it, the book is surely that keeps you in it for the longest time. For the characters of the book, I would like to say that they can be found in every second household of metropolitan cities and that makes them relatable.

The scenes of the book has been well described of, a very typical Adite Banerjie description which made me again wait for more from the authoress. The end, made me smile, be-teary eyed and back to smile which is very commendable for any book. For the cons of the book, I felt that the book could’ve been a lot more better in terms of writing as in the expectations out of the authoresses current book was high and I felt that the authoress could’ve taken it to a whole new level rather than sticking to the normal level. Apart from this, I would like to say that the book is one which leaves its after affects for a long time after reading it. Waiting for more from the authoress, I would like to rate it 4 out of 5.

Baby Makers by Gira Aravamudan: a review

Books on society and culture are something that are not much in the trend now a days, with so many ‘fiction’ tales coming up in front, non-fiction has taken a backseat. But when I saw this book, I couldn’t stop myself from admiring the authoress for taking up a topic which most writers don’t pick up. Yes, Baby Makers by Gita Aravamudan is about the story of Indian surrogacy. The blurb of the book added fuel to the fire of my desire to read the book at one go.

According to the blurb- The baby makers are many. The couples who supply the genetic material, the embryologists who create test-tube babies, the gynecologists who insert embryos into wombs and deliver the babies and, most importantly, the surrogates themselves. Then there are the agents who source the surrogates, organize fertility tourism packages and even arrange for babies to be ordered over the Internet using frozen genetic material supplied by the intending parents. Eggs, sperm and viable embryos can be bought and sold like any commodity. The terrain is complex; there are many thorny ethical issues involved and very delicate emotional ones too. This is a book about surrogacy in India and how it transformed itself from a marginalized and socially unacceptable procedure into a multimillion dollar industry. It is a non-judgmental, open-minded enquiry into surrogacy laws (rather, the lack of them) and the many cogs in the process. Baby makers’ uses rigorous journalistic research and compelling personal narratives to paint a picture that is as fascinating as it is frightening.

Yes, just as the blurb says, the book is about Indian surrogacy. To begin with, I would like to congratulate the authoress on writing this book with such extensive research work to back it up. The language used throughout the book is a very easy to understand and simple. No fancy words have been used to make it look articulated; instead the writing shows that it has been written for the mass. Coming to the story, there isn’t only 1 story the book has shown. It is a combination of a few stories taken up from the real life of the whole cycle of surrogacy.

The book has shown parts of all of the cycle, starting from the surrogate, to the condition of the surrogacy house. Apart from all that, it has also shown the condition of the couple who are hiring the surrogate and the whole process in extensive detail. At the end of the book, you might just give your heart out to the characters inside the book. How the process is commenced and then completed. The highs and lows of the surrogates and the people who have hired and finally the process of taking the babies back to their own country. The whole process is very well described. The addition of the ‘laws’ of surrogacy has added to be the cherry on the cake for the readers.

This book can anytime be a must read for the people who want to opt for surrogacy, for they will be able to know all the intricacies involved in the process and then they can make up their mind on what to do and what not. The examples given in the book of the few cases related to surrogacy and the problems one might face is also an eye opener. Yes, it is true that today it has become a multi-million dollar business. The cons of the book, which I felt was that a few pictorial representations should’ve been there to make them more understandable. Apart from that, I don’t find any other con to speak about. A must read. I would like to rate the book 4.75 out of 5.

Derivation of Life by Viraj J Mahajan- a review

The total thought behind the book Derivation of Life by debut author Viraj J. Mahajan is worth applauding. I loved the way the cover has been designed with the matte finish that the designer has given. I loved the way the designer has brought in life to the cover. And this is very true that after seeing the cover, one surely turns to see the blurb and I am sure that after reading the blurb, one would start reading the book immediately.

According to the blurb- Archana always wanted to provide a perfect life for her family but the course of her life takes a drastic turn when she has her second child. Will her family have the same life ever again? Set in the early 90’s of Ujjain, Derivation of Life throws a light on a middle class family and their quest to find happiness.

The only reason why any reader will start reading the book will be the vague outline that the blurb gives about the story. After reading the blurb every reader will have an urge to know more about Archana and her life. What happened when her second child was born? I will like to congratulate the author for he has done a wonderful job in keeping the essence of the book alive inside the blurb itself.

The first thing I would like to mention to my readers is the wonderful way the author has started the book. The prologue is something that every reader looks forward to in any book. Especially coming from a debut author, the prologue is really good. From there, I was engrossed in the book throughout till the end. Coming to the story, I would like to say that the story was well thought of.

Having read many books till date, the expectations from any further book rises and the author of this book has lived up to the expectations one has from the story line. The characters were also very well written. Such were they, that any reader can visualize themselves in front of the characters, living their life and their moments. The flow that the story has coupled up with the narrating skills has brought in a new life to the characters.

If I talk about the cons of the book, I would like to say that the narrating could’ve been better at places. And the writing, maybe, a bit more refined. Another round of editing could’ve made this work more than what it is. A small polish to the whole book and its presentation could’ve taken the book to a whole new place. Having said that, a debut book is not much expected to be perfect. All in all, a wonderful read. I would like to read more from the author, giving the book 3.75 out of 5.

The day that changed the course of my dreams!

In the world where living a life all alone is as tough as living with other people, all we need is someone or something pushing us towards a more optimistic life when all things fail. I am glad to have a few very treasured people in my life who tend to push me towards positivity and goodness whenever I lose hope. One such person is my fiancée. I am glad to say that I have got the best. The man in my life, though being a man of a few words, can fill my life with positivity and hope.

There was one such situation that brought us together and I can never forget that day. It was the day when I wanted to share my heart out to him. I wanted to tell him about my future about what kind of a future do I envision. I knew, after a much heated debate with myself that the kind of future I want wouldn’t actually be the perfect future one envisions for a partner or for a daughter but then I knew that I could never do something that I don’t want to or rather won’t be able to. So, gathering all those thoughts inside my mind and finding a reasonable moment to say, I gave my heart out to him.

I told him about what I want to do, what the situation is and what I am expected to do. I told him what I want to quit and what I always wanted to do. There is no doubt about the fact that I was damn scared when I was saying all this. But the fact that all this was on the phone actually helped. After I was done telling him everything, all he asked for was 20 minutes to call me back. I disconnected the line and was crying my heart out in the comfort of my home. I was scared as to what would happen.

But just then I got a call from him asking me to come down. It was 9o’clock at night and I couldn’t believe my ears when he said that he is in front of my house. The 17kms that distanced our houses was covered in just a matter of 15 minutes and he was there. As I went down and I saw him standing there, I couldn’t resist myself and I went on to hug him. He whispered in my ear “I love you” and at that moment that was all I needed. We found a place to sit in the nearby locality and as he held my hand tightly, he explained to me the pros and cons of every step I want to take.

Along with that, he also told me that he is there beside me in every step of my life that I take. I was really scared to what my mothers’ reaction would be when I will tell her about all this but he cooled me down and told me to go about this slowly. He even assured me that he will talk to my mum regarding all this. That was the perfect motivation and strength that I needed at that moment. I couldn’t stop the tears of happiness that were shedding from my eyes. That moment of relief had it all, the passion for my dream and the love of my fiancĂ©e. I was surprised to see that even then he hadn’t forgotten to bring me my favorite chocolates to cheer me up. As I went up to my room and he went back to his home, I was comparatively calmer. After dinner, I told my mother everything and even she was calm and she understood.

Today, as I sit here and recall the incident; I know. If that day, the man of my life wouldn’t have been there, I wouldn’t have been able to follow my dreams the way I am today. Such moments, with near and dear ones fill your life with positivity and happiness when you need them the most. I am really glad; I have not one but many such people in my life.

Change is the only thing that is constant

As history has it, change is something that is constant in every situation. Sometimes the change is good and sometimes bad. Sometimes, it might be for the good and sometimes for the bad. No matter how good or bad change is, the one thing that we can be sure of amongst all this is that, change is something that is one of the biggest contributions that our life gets in order to shape up our future in a more concrete way. There have been so many changes in one person’s life that it is next to impossible to keep a track on every change. But, there has to be certain good changes that have affected us in such a way that we can’t help but remember it and be thankful to it throughout our lives.

Men and women, both, go through changes in their lives in all stages. Women are one part of the society, who belongs to everybody. In one stage of their life, they are daughters. In the next stage, she is a sister. Following it, she is a wife. And then finally, she is a mother. In the circle of all these stages, she manages to be herself, be a woman. Today, being a woman, I would like to talk about the most significant change in a woman’s life. The day they get married. After years of living in their father’s home, uncontrolled, like a free bird, there comes a time when  they have to leave all that and go to a completely unknown house. Live with them; be theirs, as their daughter in law. This change brings with itself loads of other changes in the life of every woman.

The way they live, changes. Their mornings change, so does their nights. A girl who is used to live on her own now has to live on terms. But then, the change is for the better. Today, the person they are is a reflection of the kind of family they belong to keeping a side of their own house too. I remember, my best friend was a very tomboyish before her marriage. She was one girl who always used to run around, do random things without even caring about what others might think. She was sad, and lonely, I knew because I used to be her confidante. I still remember the day she got married, crying herself out and not letting me go. But today, when I see her with her husband and her 2 year old naughty kid, I know. She is one happy woman in her life. She had everything that she always wanted to. Her life has changed a lot she has become more responsible and more down to earth.

There was line which I wrote long back and the quote I made, still rings in my ears very often – “The girl who sits on the wedding seat, is entirely different from the woman who emerges from it…!” Changes, give way to a new confidence in everyone’s life that we never knew were there. Whether it is good or bad, the only thing that is in our hands is to accept the change and embrace it, for we should know that it will help us form our future in one strong way.

Positivity still reigns!

If we look into the dictionary and search for the meaning of ‘Optimism’ we usually get an idea of what it is. The idea of looking on to the more favorable side of events or conditions is the basic definition of the word. But to think of it, how many of us are actually optimistic when situations come? How do we see the glass at a glance? Half full or half empty? It might be any of the two, but the hope of positivity is something that gives a meaning to our lives and fills our heart with happiness. Among the many other stories I have, there is one favorite incident of mine that I want to recall but before that, I would like to thank IndiBlogger for bringing forth this wonderful topic to write upon and giving us all a chance to tell our story to the world.

Today, when we see the world around us, we see loads of mishaps happening. Incidents starting from rapes of women of all ages to road accidents and many more are coming into view like hot cakes. We, the citizens, sit back home and probably do nothing other than discussing what others should do and what they should not. We think of not letting the women of our lives go out late at night and impose certain rules on them. But do we ever think about the victims? How they are coping up? What should we do to avoid these things rather than suffocating the women of our family at home? The answer is NO!

One day, a group of friends were discussing about the issue. They were all trained in martial arts. They wanted to do something for the women of our society. If not anything drastic, they wanted at least to arm the women of their safety when they are out of their homes but they didn’t know what to do. They knew, the pessimistic world wouldn’t allow them to do anything. But they believed in finding positivity among all the negativities surrounding the environment. They wanted to break the shackles of pessimism. They planned on moving ahead with the plan they had made and visited each and every household of the neighborhood so that they allow the women of their family to join the self defense class they have started.

No one allowed the women of their family to join. You know the reason why? The founders of the class were boys! Days passed by but their classes weren’t getting any students. They were starting to give up when one day a girl went on to them and asked them to give her classes. As they started giving her the self defense classes, many more women of the area started to open up and come forward for the classes. Slowly, word spread out and today, there are almost 50 women and girls of all ages who come in batches and learn self-defense. They have their branches in many places and they plan to expand too. The charge is free, allowing women from all kinds of households to join the classes.

A few days back, when I accidentally met one of the founders in an event and talked to him about the whole scenario and the things they are doing, I felt that positivity still reigns. Optimism is the key to a wonderful future ahead!

The dreamer by Vivek Jain: a review

A wonderful blue background with a guy spreading his arms wide for the girl of his dreams- the cover of debut book “The dreamer” an unpredictable lover that couldn’t say anything by Vivek Jain is just that and much more. Where the cover remains such that can be lost in the numerous other novels of the genre, the blurb does its best as a pro for the book. The blurb is surely something that can entice readers to read the book at one go ever thinking about how the story will turn out to be till the end.

According to the blurb- Love does not mean having your mate on your side or does it? Can a guy love a girl in such an unpredictable way that she becomes his soul? Are all these ancient love stories like Romeo and Juliet fake? And if it is not, then can this kind of love happen in today’s generation? Vivek is a guy with a slight scientific bent of mind, who always tries to perform experiments related to various fields of science. At a school function, he meets a girl Shruti, who becomes his addiction… his princess, his angel…Goddess… the reason for his existence. He falls in love with her at first sight… handing over his entire life into her hands… Somehow, Vivek manages to speak to Shruti… then follows an addiction about her… a madness that knows no end. To prove his love for her, he designs a telescope to impress her. But four years later, a tragic change of fate enters their life. Shruti turns volte-face and refuses to even recognize or acknowledge Vivek. What is this story all about? Is destiny playing a game with Vivek? Or is Shruti playing a game with him? Or is there another angle? How will this love story end? Will Vivek win over Shruti… or will it remain an unfulfilled dream forever?

As far as the reality fiction is considered, the book can captivate the readers. But we cannot ignore the few places where the book seemed too over-hyped to be a reality fiction. The characters used in the book were real and that shows. Coming to the story, it was nice and the way it had been presented was also nice. It managed to keep the flow going at a pace of its own.

But I would’ve appreciated it more if the narrating style would’ve been a bit better than what it is now. The characters of the story come to life with the words of the author. Every character has a well defined personality and every character has a closure of its kind. The main protagonists of the story have been well maintained throughout the book giving the book its much needed essence.

For the cons I would like to say that the story could’ve been written in a more captivating way. The way it is now seems like it has been written for teenagers who are more into chick-lits. The book is not for the people who want to read a proper romance. The language in which the book is written is too over-bearing at parts. But I can’t ignore the moments where the book speaks a lot. I feel a much better edited version of the book could’ve been presented to the readers. For me, a onetime read; I would like to rate it 2.5 out of 5.

Dark Romance by Ankit Gusain: a review

Amongst all the ‘darkness’ that surrounds the main two protagonists in the book’s cover, the flowers and skeletons and the love that blossoms is surely a sight to behold. The dark romance, Ankit Gusain’s debut novel is a work of fiction which is based loosely on the beliefs of the villagers about the darkness that surrounds them. I really liked how the book has been presented to the readers but I would’ve liked it more if the cover of the book had resemblances to the village given in the book.

According to the blurb- ‘Dark romance’ is a story of two lovers caught up in the narrow minded attitude of village thinking. Superstition and dark spirits that the villagers’ believe in add their bit in making their life a living hell. The lovers, Priyanka and Ashu, meet clandestinely and their love develops and grows for each other. Things begin to go well for them, but then things take a dark twist… Ashu does everything in his power to get Priyanka, the love of his life, out of this darkness. But her family is out to get his blood… Will Ashu and Priyanka ever be able to get out of the clutches of darkness and the evil that has over shadowed their lives? Will the family and the villagers’ overcome their superstition, their old fashioned village thinking and allow the two lovers to find their happiness? Or will the ‘dark romance’ never find the light of day…

After reading the blurb and seeing the cover of the book, I had expectations from the book. The prologue of the book surely raised my expectations quite a lot. When the story started to present itself to the readers, I could feel myself getting to know the characters a lot but then there was feeling of ‘not-connecting’ too.  The flow of the story was nice and considering the fact that it has been written by a debutant writer, it was really nice. What I liked about the whole book was that, the error count of the book was very low and coming from a debutant, it was really impressive.

When I talk about the characters, I can say that the author has all that he could do to justify the characters. Every character that has been introduced has been given a closure and there weren’t any extra characters. The author has given exactly the needed amount of attention to the characters he has introduced. I really liked the way how the characters were brought into life and then their closures.

Coming to the story, where many people would like to read a hardcore ghost story in the book; most of the book has been filled with normal scenes. The ghost part of the story comes in much late and even though it has its importance, it doesn’t make its presence felt much. It is done very lightly that might be a big disappointment to the readers who were waiting for a proper ghost story. I would’ve preferred it more if the ghost part or rather the dark part of the story would’ve given more highlight throughout the story. The ending to the book was kind of expected but maybe the readers would’ve liked it a bit more if a bit of twist would’ve been given to the end. Apart from all that, the book is a nice one time read and I would like to rate it a 3.25 out of 5.

Ramayana, Shattered Dreams, Book 2 by Shubha Vilas: a review

The cover and the presentation of the whole book along with the fact that I have already read the first part of the series, made me attracted towards the book at first sight. I knew, no matter what I had to read it. Such was the effect that stayed after reading the first book. The best part of the second book of the series is that it starts just where the last one ends. And if you are a bit particular, then I don’t think that you would’ve missed a few chapters of book 2 in book 1 that intensifies the urge to read the book.

According to the blurb- Shattered dreams is the sequel to the national bestseller, Rise of the Sun prince, in the new spiritual and motivational series Ramayana- The game of life. Twelve joyful years have passed in Ayodhya since the wedding of Rama and Sita at the end of Book 1. Now, in Shattered Dreams, Shubha Vilas narrates the riveting drama of Rama’s exile. Through tales of Rama’s unwavering and enigmatic persona, the book teaches us how to handle reversal positively; through Bharata’s actions, it teaches us to handle temptation; and through Sita’s courage, to explore beyond our comfort zone. This complicated family drama provides deep insights on how human relationships and how they fail. With Valmiki’s Ramayana as its guiding light, Shattered Dreams deftly entwines poetic beauty from the Kamba Ramayana and Ramacharitamans, as well as folk philosophy from the Loka Pramana tales, to demonstrate how the ancient epic holds immediate relevance to modern life. Experience the ancient saga of the Ramayana like never before!

To begin with, I would like to thank the cover designer for giving us such an artistic vision to look at with the cover. After reading the blurb when I started reading the book, I couldn’t help myself from being carried away with the author’s work. Calling it a philosophical book would be the perfect definition that I would like to give to the book. I would also compliment the author for being the spiritual guide throughout the book for all its readers. There is one special quality of the book that is the book is readable for people of all ages and that makes it one awesome book.

Throughout the pages, the only thing I could feel was to be mesmerized on how the author has penned down pages of Ramayana in such a wonderful way which is relatable to all. The struggle that the characters had to go through has been described in a very nice way. Along with the story, I really loved the way the author has given importance to the fact that this is a self-help book. At the end of the book, or rather at the end of most pages, one goes on with a feeling of something new learnt.

If this is how Indian tradition and customs are to be recite to the people of today’s time for better understanding, I would like to recommend this book to all my readers and even as a self-help book for institutions. The notes and points given inside the book, along with the story gives the book a very natural feel and at times, you can actually feel someone sitting in front of you and dictating you the whole thing by making you understand it line by line and word by word.

Coming to what I didn’t like in the book was that, people who haven’t read the Book 1 of the series is in for a miss. I would always recommend reading the first part of the book before starting the second part so that you get the flow of the story. Yes, we all are acquainted with Ramayana and that’s why maybe the exact flavor can be taken in with just the book 2 but at places, a book 1 reading is necessary. Another thing I missed in this book is the insight of the next book. Apart from that, I would like to call this book a very enriching read. A hundred marks for the presentation, I would like to rate the book 4.75 out of 5.

Six inches are enough on heels... not in bed by Mehak Budhrani- a review

A debut book is mostly about how intriguing everything is. Since the first impression is the last impression, starting from the cover of the book, to the blurb and finally the writing and story everything should be done to their best. Mehak Budhrani has done her best in making the cover interesting and it has done its best to make the mark. Six inches are enough on heels… not in bed!! Yes, the book is exactly about what you are thinking it to be. The book has explored relationships on a whole new basis altogether, the basis of physical needs and before going to the blurb, I would love to congratulate the authoress on this brave attempt for the debut book.

According to the blurb- After her first ever heartbreak, Mia decides to analyze relationships and mend broken ones. Whenever her friends Kimaya, Mrinal, Neha and Uday have problems, she is the first one they call to discuss their problems. Even though she has never had the perfect relationship, she decides not to give up on love. But at an age where hormones are running high and emotions are on a low, lust takes over love. From issues such as not having a place to make out and under-sized vibrators, Mia finds that couples are getting even more complicated in the new age Indian society. Even though Mia finds Viren, a close to perfect guy, he gets addicted to gambling and loses interest in her. Mia finds herself without love all over again. All her best friends move on and are entering the phase of marriage except for her. She is still 26, single and lonely.

The story of Mia aka Meow is one such story that can be found in every second girl of the city. It’s about love, about friendship, relationships and above all, sex. I use the word sex because it is exactly what is given in the book. The book is a diary that brings in the best in a relationship of every girl and boy alike. The tempting title of the book made me read it in one go. I couldn’t get enough of the book at one point of time. The good to hold size of the book and the text size also comes as added attributes to the book.

Mia, Mrinal, Uday, Neha and Kimaya; all of them has different characteristics and so does the other characters of the book but the authoress has done her best in defining all the characters equally and wonderfully. It isn’t much hard on understanding the traits of the characters. Every character is drawn from real life and we all find one such character in our real life. Another very important character of the book is Mia’s Maya which plays a very important role in the book.

I would like to congratulate the authoress on choosing such a new plot for writing and that too such a challenging thing to write for the debut book. The book might seem to be an erotica at first, but the book is anything but erotica. Exploring the different viewpoints of relationships is given by the book. Though, at points of the book, the book seems to be more of a diary and people might not always agree to the points given in the book still it can’t be resisted specially by girls.

For me, all in all, the book is quite satisfying but a few grammatical errors here and there were spotted. We can’t help ignoring the fact that the book is very much for girls and boys might find the book a bit boring. I would’ve loved it more if the book would’ve been written in a more quirky way. The base story of the book was also very predictable at the end. Waiting for more from the authoress, I would rate the book 3 out of 5.

Myriad Tales: a review

The cover of the book can turn eyes of the readers but then the size of the book, specifically of that of an anthology can turn them off. I really liked how the book has been presented to the readers with the Glitterati signatures and personalized messages from the authors. The printing quality of the book and paper quality was also nice (just to mention, my copy had a page that was printed in the opposite direction) but nonetheless, the first impression that the book gives is very nice. The book has 32 stories and that’s why I would like to write a few lines on all the stories…

Guns and Roses by Akash Shrivastav- The story of Rajveer, One year of his life where he had seen the most highs and lows was the biggest attraction of the story. What I felt was that, the story was a bit too fast paced and it could’ve been better if that was done in a slower way. The story was very ‘listened to’ and I felt that I had read it earlier.

Prank by Nikhil Uprety- I would call this story a real good one. The super natural element added in the story makes this a show stealer. The story, the way of describing and the turns of the story can give goose bumps to the readers. The story is also such that it can be read in one go. It surely seems as if it is enacted in front of you.

Battle of wits by Rafaa Dalvi- I don’t know what to say about the story. Reading the story I would like to say that the story is indeed about the battle of wits. The characters, the story is something that has been paid very much attention to. But still, at one point I felt that the story could’ve seen a better ending than it has.

Duplicity by Alexander Altman- Thrill, the story shrieks of the word and the cold blooded murder describes the word to the fullest. Though the very base of the book seems ‘already read’, still, the new plating of the story makes it a very interesting read for all the thrill lovers. A perfect one time read.

The unwelcome Guest by Dr.Roshan Radhakrishnan- The eerie feeling that the story gives you is something that any reader can look forward to in the story. I specifically liked the way the author has described the scenes. But at one point of time, it felt that the story was a tad too big for an anthology. If it were a bit shorter, it would’ve made a great story.

Atarahbaham; Mahabharata Remixed by Suhail Mathur- Coming from the editor of the anthology, I had much expectations from the story and specially when the story talked much about a remixed version of the Mahabharata. When I read the story, yes, the comic timing was very accurate and it can make the readers laugh out loud, but to a certain extent being a mythology lover; I personally feel that a certain set of readers might get offended with the story. Apart from that, a very nice concept.

The raveled mystery by Saurabh Chawla- I really liked the way the author has tried to move on with the story, but at one point of time; the story seemed to be a tad too clear to the eye which is not mostly the case with thrillers. The characters were etched very properly and the feelings too but the ending could’ve been a more elaborate one and the story a bit twisted and turned.

Seat Number 66 by Vaisakhi Mishra- If you travel on trains late at night and are mostly alone; if a cemetery is on your way then treat this as an early warning. For people who travel late night on trains, this story is not exactly something that they would like to read. But telling that, I would also say that the story is actually that much creepy that you are bound to imagine things when doing the things mentioned in the story. Over all, an eerie story.

Spectacles in Goa by Anil Antony- Friends, Goa and fun; that surely is the perfect mantra for a fun filled adventure. And if the adventure is as funny as the author has described it to be, it is sure to be experienced! The way the story progressed never gave a hint to the reader about the end but surely it was a fun filled story.

The lady who loved tea too much by Ritesh Agarwal- This story can very well be called one of the stories in this book which I liked a lot. The way the story progressed didn’t give in much about the story and that’s how I like my stories to be. The end of the story, though, made me smile with tears in my eyes.

Gem of a thief by David Singh- A very nice comic ‘drama’ as I would like to name it by the author. The way the narration has been done leaves all readers ‘into’ the story from the beginning till the end. What the end has in stores surely pushes the right comic buttons of the readers. A great job done by the author.

The facebook girl by Dr.Vivek Banerjee- Spooky! What happens when a stranger is watching you? Well, a stranger? Not exactly… Telling more about the story will actually ruin the fun so I would like to leave it on the readers to see what happens when Sahil puts up a facebook status. I would really like to read more from the author.

Fundawear by Saurabh Mishra- You can’t stop yourself from laughing your heart out from the time you start reading the mid portion of the story. The way the story has been narrated, can make anyone laugh. But the only hitch is that, I, personally, don’t like stories involving mainly around physical intimacy amongst a book that is supposed to be read by people of all ages. Thinking about the story as an individual, a nice attempt by the author.

The poison ivy by PT Sahasranaman- This story is also one of the best stories I have read in the book. The references given at the end of the story brings forth the thin line of non-fiction that is used in the book, making it more reliable to the readers. The readers, at one point surely feel into the book which is a great achievement by the authoress. I wish the story was a bit shorter than it actually is.

The deal by Tapobrata Kumar- The author struck a chord within me mainly because he used a few lines from my most favorite poem and justified them to the fullest. The terrorist part of the story was a very intriguing one. For me, this story was a complete story but again, it could’ve been written in a more interesting way.

401 wellington Avenue by Nabanita Dhar- Yes, you get creepy while reading the story and that is exactly why this story is written. At the end, you are left with mixed emotions and that makes you like the story. Hitting the perfect spots, I would like to read more from the authoress on this genre.

The love story by Upneet Grover- After finishing the story all I could do was *facepalm*. Well, yes. The story, told in very few words is surely one of its kinds. What would happen next, is something you think while reading the story and when you end it; all you can do is *facepalm* (in a good way) Not revealing much, I would want the readers to enjoy the read.

Twisted Fate by Chandrapal Khasiya- The story actually can be treated as an eye opener. It opens the eyes of those people who are blinded by faith. The way the story has been churned out brings out one of the best by the writer. Though I was expecting more, I really liked the story as a whole.

Raped by Raviraj Ramavarapu- Thrill is written large on the story. Having read the authors’ work a lot of times earlier, I would say that the author could’ve written the story in a far better way. But still, to a certain extent, the story has the capability to hook the readers from the first till the last. Would like to read more from the author.

The black pearls by Sufia Khatoon- Pearls are something that unknowingly castes a very endearing feeling on every woman and the same happened in this case. A story within a story. Thrill and spookiness teamed into one makes this story a must read by the authoress. I would’ve loved it even more if the story would’ve been a bit more shortened.

It’s time by Arka Chakrabarti- It’s not very frequently that I have tears in my eyes while reading a short story and I would like to give a round of applause for the author to have brought tears in my eyes. I would’ve appreciated the author more if he would’ve given a bit of descriptions in the story instead of telling it in one flow.

The venomous vault by Ayush Agarwal- The story can actually cause panic amongst the people reading it. One’s mind is constantly thinking of so many things while reading the story. But as compared to the whole story, I somehow felt that the ending lacked the much needed surprise that short stories mostly contain. Apart from that, a nice story to read.

Today’s special poison by Uwais zubair Sait- The story leaves the reader with mixed expressions. Mostly that of a smile. To talk about the story would be tough because that would mean telling about the story. I would just like to say that the narration could’ve been done in a better way. Other than that, the story keeps the readers hooked till the last line.

3AM when reality met illusion by Neoni D’souza- I have a particular aversion for stories coming from the authoresses’ pen. I have read her earlier and I had huge expectations from the authoress. No doubt, the authoress didn’t disappoint me. The story of Annie kept me hooked. The only thing I wish was that it is high time that the authoress higher up her writing standards a notch.

Paint it red by Rahul Mohan Sharma- The story surely has a moving effect on every reader and the time and dedication that the author has given in writing the story clearly reflects on the writing. I wish to read more from the author. The only hitch is that the story is too short of descriptions. A stronger base story could’ve made it work.

The letter by Ayush Agarwal- When I started the story, I never knew what is going to happen next. Maybe just another stalker story. But when the story advances, the thrill of the story gets into you and the unexpected twist at the end of the story can actually shudder the readers to an extent. A job well done by the author.

Project phantasm by Kosha Srivastava- This is again one of those stories that left me dumbfounded. Talking more about the story would mean revealing it and I don’t want to do it. The narrating style was wonderful and has the capability of keeping the readers hooked and guessing about what is going to happen next. I would like to read more from the authoress.

Drishti by Praveen Sinha- For this story I would like to congratulate the author for having weaved this story to a wonderful symphony of words. It’s not every day that you get to read a story weaved like this. But somehow, the ending couldn’t quite satisfy the needs of the reader. The description style is something that the readers can look forward to in the story.

Unravelling the night by Amogh Srivastav- The story kept me at the edge of my seat from the beginning but at the end I couldn’t believe my eyes. The twist in the end was surely a very nicely executed one. The writer surely has a knack of writing and I would like to read more from the author.

Messed up by Shipra Jain- The story started off quite nicely. Just like any other thriller story. But at one certain point, I felt that the story got actually ‘messed up’. The main base of the story was very shaky and even though the narration was nice, the formation just couldn’t take place properly. I guess, a bit more descriptions and a firm plot could’ve taken the story to a whole new level.

The forgery by Arka Dutta- The story is exactly about what the title of the story claims to be, ‘forgery’. The story has a very good quality to it and you must read the story to know what exactly it has in store for you. The descriptions have been taken care of and that keeps the readers hooked.

Honeymoon of the Haunted by Mihir Shah- The title itself attracts the readers and I won’t be wrong if I say that the book has one of the best for the last. The way the story has been etched makes the readers sit at the edge of their seats. The end can actually bring a wicked smile on everyone’s face.

At the end, there are a few things I would like to say about the book. In certain places of the book, editing and grammatical errors were seen that drops the speed of the book. For me, I somehow felt that all the stories have been written with almost the same graph in mind. If the book is read constantly, without any breaks then the book might seem to be written by a same author rather than different kinds of authors. For an anthology, I particularly hunt for different edges of stories which were present here but the frame seemed similar. All in all, a very satisfactory read. I would like to rate it 4 on the scale of 5.

I would always prefer chatting over a phone call!

New in the city? Transfer from work? No budget to buy new things to set up your home? Quikr.com has taken care of these problems for a long time since its inception. In today’s time, Quikr.com has become one of the most used sites where one can sell and buy items of their choice. Not only that, you have a valley of options to choose from and you can also take anything for rent. Real estate, gadgets, appliances etc are something’s that are very common to the site.

Even after all these pros of the site, there is one thing that is a very big con of the site. The con is that all the communications that has to be done for buying, selling or renting items from the site has to be done through phone calls. This problem has been there with the site for a long time. People don’t have enough time or the facility of talking any time over phone to negotiate deals and that’s why the complaints have been ticking in. To solve this problem, as a remedy, Quikr.com has come up with Quikr Nxt. This service is more like an application that is available under all platforms. The service is a sigh of relief for all the sellers and buyers at quikr.com.

The biggest facility that Quikr Nxt gives is that all the communications that has to be done with the prospective sellers or buyers can be done through chats. I personally have used the facility and am very satisfied with it. I would always prefer a chat over a phone call for many reasons.

1)      With respect to the field I am in, I am mostly outside or in different meeting where attending a phone call is something that I can’t do all the time. It is not possible. It might be that I am outside or maybe in a very important meeting or doing a work or may be sleeping and then a call comes. It is sure to say that I won’t be able to receive the call or calls which can make me lose the confidence of the buyer and I might not be contacted again. To solve this, chats are way better where we can talk anytime without any disturbance to the situation I am in or to the buyer.

2)      There are many moments where the prospective buyer wants to see the pictures of the product I am supposed to sell and its features via a photo but the e-mail is not accessible every time. For such moments, Quikr Nxt’s application has a photo sharing feature which allows us to share the photos in a jiffy within the chat and that doesn’t even waste time.

3)      For the last reason I would prefer chat over a phone call is that, I am very forgetfull by nature. My scheduler is something that I look forward to whenever it comes to meetings and other important schedules. Among those important schedules and the numerous calls, it is almost impossible to jot down the important points given by the prospective buyer and what I have told to whom. The chat feature of Quikr Nxt is one feature that helps me revisit the chat history anytime for different buyers so that I can anytime know what has been told to whom without much hassle.

Apart from these, there are many more such reasons on why I would prefer chat over a phone call. All thanks to Quikr Nxt for coming up with such a feature for all the users. I would like to recommend the same for every perspective buyer and seller out there.

Fight Pimples the Garnier Way!

Being a girl of the 21st century, I, personally have to face a lot. My face is an open book. It reflects what I feel. It knows how and when to go under a mask and when to become fully written pages. Whatever stress I have or even the slightest bit of tension, shows directly on my face in no time.

Mental stress teamed up with the pollution and dirt all around disturbs my sensitive skin and pimples start to show up. I would be wrong if I say that it doesn’t affect me and my daily routine because at times it surely destroys everything. I thank IndiBlogger and Garnier for giving me the opportunity to write about these.

Pimples are something that is more like the black spot on the moon. No, I am not calling myself the moon but I believe the face is like the moon- soothing and talkative. Our face is like the first impression that we give on people. And a face with pimples is really not the exact much anticipated first impression. I have noticed in many places that a pimple spoils everything. If I have a pimple or two and I am supposed to meet anyone or go for a meeting, it actually stops me.

Pimples are something that is very difficult to hide. Make-up and concealers only do worst for the pimples in place of correcting them. People notice our pimples first before looking at us. I had once become tired of hiding those pimples under glasses and with dupattas. A pimple can be a very big turn-off when on a date. Pimples stay for a day or for even months. I thank Lord, for my pimples doesn’t stay for long but it at times leave s apart that is not much easy to remove.

Garnier Pure Active Neem Face wash is something that I tried on an advice by a cousin, when I had a few pimples and trust me; I was really shocked with the results. The effect started in an instant and in just a few days time, my face was pimple free. From then on, I started using the Garnier Pure Active Neem face wash twice everyday and that surely gives me a glowing, smooth and pimple-free skin. Today, I can proudly go in front of the world rather than hiding my face from them because now, I fight pimples. I recommend Garnier Pure Active Neem face wash to every girl and boy so that they can go in front of the world, carefree. Cheers to Garnier!
